Salesforce costs $25 per user, per month, for the Starter Suite, an all-in-one platform for small businesses that provides sales, service, and marketing functionality. It’s the cheapest paid plan available from the CRM.

Beyond that, Salesforce offers a wide range of more expensive plans for specific industries, called “Clouds,” which start at $195 per user, per month. Here’s a more in-depth look at the price for Salesforce across each option.

Check out our Salesforce review for more information.

How much do Salesforce Starter and Pro Suite cost?

Salesforce offers two Suite plans that provide small businesses with access to sales, service, and marketing features.

  • Starter Suite – $25 per user, per month
  • Pro Suite – $100 per user, per month

The Pro Suite is a substantial upgrade from the Starter Suite, unlocking features like lead scoring and browser extensions, as well as access to the AppExchange, which acts as the app store for third-party integrations.

How much does Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud cost?

Salesforce offers three different pricing plans for its Sales Cloud. It’s also worth noting that the Service Cloud from Salesforce follows the same pricing model, with the same plans at the same price point.

  • Enterprise – $175 per user, per month
  • Unlimited – $350 per user, per month
  • Agentforce 1 Sales – $550 per user, per month

The Enterprise plan is a big upgrade from the Suite plans because it adds a lot of analytics tools, including cross filters and joined reports.

The most notable feature add for the Unlimited plan is the lead scoring functionality, which is a paid add-on for the Enterprise plan, but is included with the Unlimited plan.

The Agentforce 1 Sales plan adds access to Salesforce AI features through Agentforce, as well as Tableau Next agentic analytics and Slack Enterprise+.

Salesforce offers a free forever plan that supports the platform’s basic sales pipeline functionality, customer service case resolution tools, and the reporting and analytics tools that have made Salesforce such a popular CRM over the years.

However, this plan only allows access for two users, while Zoho CRM offers a free version for up to three users. You also don’t get access to the mobile app or Einstein conversion insights, and specific add-ons aren’t available for purchase, like sales planning and Slack Enterprise+.

Additionally, you can try a 30-day free trial of any of the platform’s paid plans.

Salesforce offers a few different pricing options for Agentforce depending on how you plan to use the agentic AI system.

  • Agentforce 1 Editions ($550 per user, per month): These are specific all-in-one bundles that give you unmetered access to Agentforce in the Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, as well as $2.5m Flex Credit per organization, per year.
  • Agentforce add-on ($125 per user, per month): Agentforce can also be added to less expensive plans in the Sales, Service, and Field Service Clouds. For any other industry cloud, you’ll have to pay $150 per user, per month.
  • Agentforce user license ($5 per user, per month): For basic access to Agentforce, you can sign up for a simple user license, but you will have to pay $2 per conversation or purchase a bundle of Flex Credits.

What are Flex Credits?

Flex Credits are the method of payment used for specific internal tasks that Agentforce performs for your business, like “updating a record, summarizing a complex case, answering a product inquiry, or executing a custom prompt or flow,” according to the Salesforce Agentforce page.

The pricing of Flex Credits depends on how you plan to use them.

  • Standard actions: 20 Flex Credits (~$0.10)
  • Voice actions: 30 Flex Credits (~$0.15)

Salesforce sells bundles of Flex Credits at $500 for 100,000 credits.

Salesforce add-ons cost between $5 per user, per month, and $1,250 per user, per month, depending on what you need for your business.

  • Sales Planning ($75 per user, per month): This feature enables you to segment your customers, allocate your quote, carve your sales territories, and more.
  • CPQ ($75 per user, per month): This cloud-based tool helps you optimize sales processes by providing accurate pricing for product configurations. You can also upgrade to CPQ+ for $210 per user, per month.
  • Salesforce Contracts ($50 per user, per month): This add-on enables you to manage the entire lifecycle of customer contracts within the Salesforce interface.
  • Revenue intelligence ($220 per user, per month): This advanced integration offers AI-driven insights to help businesses identify risks and revenue gaps.
  • Journey Builder ($1,250 per month): This advanced marketing tool can be used to deliver cross-channel personalized experiences at every step of the customer lifecycle.
  • Developer API Access ($1,000 per user, per month): If you want to make custom changes to your intelligence platform, you’re able to unlock developer-friendly APIs for greater innovation.

We only listed a limited selection of add-ons here, but you can refer to Salesforce’s full list of add-ons here. The list is extensive, ranging from sales planning for the Sales Cloud to feedback management for the Service Cloud.

Salesforce App Exchange

Salesforce is one of the more expensive CRM options on the market, with its $25 per user, per month, starting price much higher than the industry average of $15 per user, per month.

On top of that, Salesforce enterprise-level plans like Agentforce 1 Sales cost $550 per user, per month, representing one of the most expensive plans across the CRM market, which means that finding ways to keep costs low is a vital step for many businesses before signing up.

  • Reduce users: Salesforce operates its pricing on a per user basis, so for every user on the platform, you’re going to have pay more. With fewer users, you can reduce the overall cost.
  • Be deliberate with licenses: Don’t waste full Salesforce licenses on users that only need read-only access. Instead, sign them up for Salesforce Platform licenses, for basic access to the system.
  • Consolidate data: Salesforce charges extra if you go over your data storage allotments, so make sure to keep your data under control to avoid overages.
  • Negotiate: Salesforce sales reps are open to negotiation depending on your specific situation, especially for enterprise-level plans, which can secure you discounts as high as 50% off.
  • Limit add-ons: Salesforce offers a lot of paid add-ons, which can really add up, so audit your current setup to see if there is anything you can drop.

No, you do not need to fully implement Data Cloud in order to use Agentforce. You will need to turn the Data Cloud switch on, but this won’t require paid credits. However, you’ll benefit a lot from paying for Data Cloud, since it’ll open up better contexts, analytics, and the Einstein Data Library.

Your monthly license fee is only part of the story: you’ll also need to pay a one-time implementation fee. Some users report costs of $10,000 to $20,000 for small businesses, and 10 times that for a larger business.

No, the Agentforce platform is not available with the Salesforce Starter or Pro Suites. Those users will not be able to use its generative AI functions, although other types of automations will still be available.
