The best Lovable alternative is Base44, offering a true no-code AI app builder that allows users — even beginners — to go from idea to live app on the App Store using only natural language prompts.

Cursor and Replit are good AI coding assistants aimed at more technically proficient users, while vibe coding tools like Bolt.new focus more on AI app building for web.

28% of small and medium businesses still lack a website in 2026, but AI coding tools can help cut down on the biggest barriers they cite, from a lack of time or money to a shortage of expertise.

In this guide, we’ll outline some of the best alternatives to the Lovable AI app builder, including what they can do, how much they cost, and whether or not you should just stick with Lovable in the first place.

Base44 is the best Lovable alternative for true beginners that need a real no-code AI app builder, Bolt.new is ideal for those that need a bit more technical functionality and code flexibility, while Cursor is a better match for coders that need a way to expedite and streamline coding, rather than replace it.

We tested each of these vibe coding tools ourselves, and here are our top picks for Lovable alternatives:

  • Price: $20 per month
  • Free plan: Yes

Base44 is the best Lovable alternative for beginners, because it provided us with a similar interface to Lovable with a complete full-stack app generation from simple prompts.

Base44 does provide integrations with GitHub, so we were able to edit the site a bit with our technical knowledge. Crucially, though, we very much didn’t have to, as Base44 will allowed us to create fully functional apps by just inputting natural language prompts.

Base44 makes deploying your app easy too. The platform recently added seamless integration with the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, so you can get your app live and available almost immediately. You will have to put it through a few checks first, but if any issues come up, you can have AI fix them quickly.

Base44

  • Pros

    • Very easy to use, even for beginners
    • Affordable starting price
    • Integrations with HubSpot, Slack, X, and more
  • Cons

    • Very limited customization options
    • No plug-ins or add-ons available
  • Free plan available
  • Starter: $20/month
  • Builder: $40/month
  • Pro: $80/month
  • Elite: $160/month

Why is Base44 a great Lovable alternative?

The biggest advantage of Base44 over Lovable is the fact that it’s a good all-in-one solution that can handle the entire app-building process. The platform covers infrastructure, database, and hosting, all within a single ecosystem.

On top of that, Base44 was acquired by Wix in 2025, which means that the platform uniquely integrates with apps in the Wix store, as well as the member list from the popular website builder, making it an excellent alternative to Lovable AI website builder.

How much does Base44 cost?

Base44 is an affordable Lovable alternative, with a starting price of $20 per month, compared to Lovable at $21 per month. It features a wide range of flexibly-priced options for businesses of all sizes to build unlimited apps, although they each have limits on the number of messages you can send.

  • Starter ($20 per month): 100 message credits per month
  • Builder ($40 per month): 250 message credits per month
  • Pro ($80 per month): 500 message credits per month
  • Elite ($160 per month): 1,200 message credits per month

Base44 also offers a free forever plan, which gives users basic access to the vibe coding platform and allows for 25 message credits per month.

Top Tip

Base44 has a free plan as well, but it limits users to only 25 messages per month, which isn’t many if you want to really build something complex and useful. So, for real fine-tuning opportunities, we’d recommend paying at least for the  Starter plan.

Bolt.new is a powerful vibe coding tools that allowed for a lot more code flexibility than Base44 while providing more infrastructure and technical control options than Lovable. This full-stack AI app builder allowed us to export code to other platforms like GitHub, even on the free plan, and it supports React Native to develop mobile apps as well as web apps.

Beyond that, Bolt.new is one of the best Lovable alternatives, because it offers a lot of the same functionality on a basic level. We were able to generate entire apps from prompts, with full-stack functionality allowing us to access the frontend and the backend. Like Lovable, Bolt.new is also available through your browser, so we didn’t have to download an app to get started.

For deployment, Bolt.new integrates with Netlify or Vercel. That means that when you push the Deploy button, your app will be hosted on these cloud hosting servers.

Bolt.new

  • Pros

    • Browser functionality; no download required
    • Can generate both web and mobile apps
    • Integrates with GitHub, Stripe, Figma, and more
  • Cons

    • Not as customizable as other options
    • Requires clear and specific instruction
    • Performance limitations on browser
  • Free plan available
  • Pro: $18/month
  • Teams: $30/month

Why is Bolt.new a great Lovable alternative?

Bolt.new shines in comparison to Lovable in two noticeable ways. For one, it’s more powerful and customizable than Lovable, running a live, full-stack environment, giving developers a lot more flexibility when it comes to designing the app.

On top of that, it does all of this within a browser at impressive speed. Lovable can take a bit longer to generate your code, but Bolt.new is providing this added level of customizability with a lot of power.

How much does Bolt.new cost?

Bolt.new and Lovable have remarkably similar pricing models, with an identical starting price for those that want to pay month-to-month ($25 per month) and only two pricing plans to choose from. If you’re looking for a yearly subscription, though, Bolt.new is a steal at only $18 per month, particularly with its robust functionality.

  • Pro: $18 per user, per month
  • Teams: $27 per user, per month
  • Enterprise: Custom

All paid plans for Bolt.new include a 10 million-token limit, but you can purchase more if you need them. Additionally, with the Teams plan, your unused tokens from each month will carry over, so you can save a bit after a slow month.

Like most vibe coding platforms, Bolt.new has a free plan that can get you started. However, it puts strict limits on your activity, only allowing 300,000 tokens per day and a million tokens per month. Yes, that sounds like a lot, but if you’re iterating on the software every day, they may run out sooner than you think.

Cursor is an AI integrated development environment (IDE) alternative for Lovable for those that are familiar with coding but need a bit of help with the nitty gritty details to get started. The service provides tools to help you code more effectively, rather than actually coding the app for you.

It’s worth noting that Cursor is the only platform on this list that is not browser-based, so you will have to download an app to get started.

Because Cursor is a bit more technical, there is no one-button Deploy option like other platforms. You’ll have to export your code to GitHub, where you can do a bit more to make it available for other users.

Cursor

  • Pros

    • Affordable starting price
    • Powerful AI coding tools for experts
    • Free trial available for paid plan
  • Cons

    • No browser functionality; download required
    • Coding knowledge required
    • No full-stack app generations
  • Free plan available
  • Pro: $16/month
  • Teams: $32/user/month
  • Pro+: $48/month
  • Ultra: $160/month
  • Enterprise: Custom pricing

Why is Cursor a great Lovable alternative?

Cursor is a different kind of platform from Lovable when it comes to vibe coding, but it could still be a viable alternative if you’re proficient in coding.

We did need some coding knowledge to use Cursor, but if that’s not a problem for you, it’s an AI-powered solution that can really help you get the most out of your code, whereas Lovable will just make the app for you.

Cursor’s free plan includes many of the same complex settings available with the paid options. Source: Tech.co testing

How much does Cursor cost?

Cursor isn’t just more affordable than Lovable, it’s more affordable than every vibe coding platform on this list when it comes to starting price for an annual contract. On top of that, it offers a larger variety of plans, with a range of individual options and business-facing plans, so you’ll have a bit more flexibility than you do with Lovable.

  • Pro: $16 per month
  • Teams: $32 per user, per month
  • Pro+: $48 per month
  • Ultra: $160 per month
  • Enterprise: Custom

As for limits, Cursor is a bit more complex than other vibe coding platforms, because it varies depending on which AI model you’re using. Check out the Cursor pricing information page to see how much the different models cost.

Cursor also has a free plan, which is not unique for vibe coding platforms. However, what is unique is that Cursor provides a two-week free trial to its Pro plan when you sign up for the free plan, which is not commonly available among other competitors.

  • Price: $29 per month
  • Free plan: Yes

Now, if you’re looking for a true no-code platform that requires virtually no technical knowledge to build an app with AI, Bubble might be what you’re in the market for.

Bubble differs from Lovable in a few ways, most notably that it is specifically created for visual design development, which allowed us to customize a lot when it came to what our app looked like.

Bubble offers a simple one-click Publish option to get your app live, although there is a checking process that will evaluate for logic errors. As long as everything checks out, your app will be live and available.

Bubble

  • Pros

    • True no-code platform
    • Visual drag-and-drop editor built in
    • Massive plug-in marketplace
  • Cons

    • More expensive than competitors
    • No coding functionality available
    • Unable to export app source code
  • Free plan available
  • Starter: $29/month
  • Growth: $119/month

Why is Bubble a great Lovable alternative?

Bubble also offers a wide range of API integrations, so we were able to implement changes to the app’s functionality without being too proficient in coding.

On top of all that, Bubble provides users with real-time collaboration features, so if you’re a team looking to design an app together, Bubble is probably a better fit.

This platform will create apps for you entirely from prompts, with no editable code available, so even if you know how to code, you won’t be able to use that knowledge to impact your app.

Bubble Element Editor

How much does Bubble cost?

Bubble is more expensive than Lovable and every other vibe coding platform in our research by a pretty large margin. The brand increased prices after switching away from standard capacity practices and now measures based on workload units, which is one of the biggest differences between Bubble and Lovable.

The prices listed below are the cheapest option, allowing users to only build web apps.

  • Starter ($29 per month): 175,000 workload units per month
  • Growth ($119 per month): 250,000 workload units per month
  • Team ($349 per month): 500,000 workload units per month

Bubble has a free plan, too, which gives you access to the platform to build one app without any collaborators. Bubble is another rare option that offers a 14-day free trial of its Starter plan, so you can check out whether the advanced features are worth the relatively hefty price tag.

  • Price: $20 per month
  • Free plan: Yes

Back to the coding platforms! Replit is another platform that is more geared towards helping people who know how to code in developing an app, rather than actually building it for you.

It is browser-based, though, unlike Cursor, so we were able to access the platform and its helpful coding tools without downloading an app.

Replit takes a flexible approach to deployment, recreating your app on Google Cloud Platform and then allowing you to choose between a few different hosting options, like autoscale or static.

Replit

  • Pros

    • Real-time collaboration available
    • Supports over 50 languages
    • Very customizable with AI code editor
  • Cons

    • 10-app limit on free plan
    • No full stack app generation
    • Coding knowledge required
  • Free plan available
  • Core: $20/month
  • Teams: $35/month

Why is Replit a great Lovable alternative?

Most notably, Replit is stellar for collaboration, which Lovable sorely lacks. It allowed multiple users to access our app simultaneously, so that we were able to discuss, edit, and customize the app with our team before launch.

Even better, Replit supports 50 different languages, so that collaboration won’t be limited to your English-speaking coworkers.

How much does Replit cost?

Replit pricing is also quite similar to that of Lovable, offering two plans (one for individuals and one for businesses). They have the same starting price for month-to-month users, though Replit is a bit more affordable if you go for the annual plan.

  • Core ($20 per month): $25 worth of credits per month
  • Team ($35 per user, per month): $40 worth of credits per month

Replit also has a free plan, and it offers a limited, trial version of its Replit Agent feature, which is the tool used to create apps for you with no code knowledge. All that to say, you’ll likely end up paying for Replit in the long run if you don’t have the coding knowledge to use it.

Lovable is an excellent vibe coding tool depending on your needs. It’s considered one of the fastest AI app builders available, allowing you to quickly generate platforms in a matter of minutes.

Lovable also integrates with the Supabase for database functionality, so if you need a reliable third-party service for your database, Lovable is a top tier choice.

Uniquely, Lovable doesn’t charge credits for simple visual edits, so if you want to make sure you get the visual aspects of your app right, Lovable might be your best bet.

Lovable is web-first, though, so mobile apps likely want to look at Base44 or other vibe coding tools that are focused on smartphone functionality. It’s credit pricing is also opaque and it’s harder to edit security code.

Stick with Lovable if…

  • You need to build an app with AI fast
  • You need a reliable database like Supabase
  • You plan on making a lot of visual edits

Switch to an alternative if…

  • You need to build a mobile app
  • You need to prioritize making security changes to code
  • You want transparent credit pricing

Lovable

  • Pros

    • All-in-one, full-stack app generation
    • Customizable with editable code
    • Large community for support and inspiration
  • Cons

    • No AI assistant to help with coding
    • No drag-and-drop functionality
  • Free plan available
  • Pro: $21/month
  • Business: $42/month
  • Enterprise: Custom pricing

Vibe coding platforms offer a wide range of features and each one doesn’t always offer the same options as the others.

Subsequently, when it comes to deciding which Lovable alternative makes the most sense for your business, it’s important to know what to look for before you make a decision.

  • Costs and limits: Most of these vibe coding platforms have free plans, but they come with strict limits. It’s important to understand how much a paid plan will cost you and whether the token/credit/message limits are too strict for your needs.
  • Coding requirements: Some vibe coding services can generate entire apps from nothing more than a natural language prompt, but others require some coding knowledge to cross the finish line.
  • App or browser: Building apps can require a lot of power, which is why some platforms require you to download an app. Others live in your browser, but they can often be a bit more limited.
  • Collaboration: If you’re hoping to build an app as a team, you’ll want to make sure there are real-time collaboration features that can enable communication and teamwork within the system.

Yes, you can vibe code with ChatGPT, but it’s not quite as easy.

The process is definitely a bit more complex than vibe coding platforms like Base44 and Bolt.new. Unlike these platforms, ChatGPT won’t give you a preview of the app and only provides you with the code. You’ll need another platform, like GitHub, to actually get it started.

Turn ideas into apps that work your way

Build fully-functional apps in minutes with just your words

No coding needed

Granted, ChatGPT does provide users with helpful tips to make sure your app is optimized, like a dark background for a flashlight app so it doesn’t drain the battery, and ideas for improvements, like adding haptic feedback or brightness sliders for a flashlight app.

Still, most vibe coding platforms are designed as more of an all-in-one solution that can get your app ideated, designed, customized, and launched from a single platform, which ChatGPT can’t really do.

ChatGPT Vibe Code Flashlight

Yes, Lovable allows users to download your code to GitHub, from which you can transfer it to other vibe coding tools. This makes switching away from Lovable much easier, because you won’t have to start from scratch with a new app.

Many of AI coding platforms prioritize functionality over security, making shortcuts that could compromise company or customer data: 39% of small businesses said in an April Tech.co survey that their concerns over cyberattacks had grown since implementing AI. Replit offers more tools for this than Lovable: Its built-in security scanner flags code vulnerabilities.

To build mobile apps with AI, you’ll want to make sure that your chosen vibe coding tool is compatible. Options like Base44 and Bolt.new are great for generating mobile apps because they have dedicated integrations that enable mobile features, like notifications, and transfer apps to the App Store or Play Store.
