Agentforce Vibes is Salesforce’s dedicated vibe coding solution for planning, building, debugging, testing, and deploying Salesforce agents, web and mobile apps, and more. If you already have a Salesforce premium account, you can get started with Agentforce Vibes for free.

Like other vibe coding tools, the platform automates the backend process of building an app, writing the code, testing it, and ultimately deploying it. It comprises two main components, Agentforce Vibes IDE and Agentforce Vibes VS Code Extension.

In this guide, I’ll cover everything that you need to know about Agentforce Vibes, including what it is, how much it costs, and whether or not it’s worth your investment.

Build fully-functional apps in minutes with just your words

No coding needed

Agentforce Vibes is a suite of agentic tools for creating and deploying Salesforce agents and apps through natural language prompting. Like other vibe coding platforms, Agentforce Vibes builds, tests, and deploys the backend code, so users can build their own apps.

However, unlike some of its contemporaries, the platform does require some technical expertise. For instance, while Agentforce Vibes will generate code for you, you need to be able to understand it in order for it to function properly.

Agentforce Vibes is made up of two central components:

  1. Agentforce Vibes IDE: This is a browser-based version of VS Code geared towards Salesforce development. It is available with every paid Salesforce plan, and is the updated version of the preexisting Code Builder tool.
  2. Agentforce Vibes VS Code Extension: A VS Code extension geared towards Salesforce development. It features built-in agentic chat capabilities.

It’s accessible either via the web or via a downloadable VS Code Extension, which sits alongside your existing code editor. When it comes to capabilities, both versions are identical.

Agentforce Vibes allows users to build, test, and deploy powerful Salesforce agents and applications through vibe coding.

Text-to-code

This is the crux of Agentforce Vibes. Through natural language prompting, users can ask the platform to write contextual and structured code, including new features, integrations, and agents.

MCP support

The platform gives users access to a wide range of Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, such as GitHub and Figma. Ultimately, this enables you to build more powerful, fully featured apps.

Built-in security

Hosted on the Agentforce 360 Platform, Agentforce Vibes protects your codebase, schema, and underlying metadata within the Agentforce Trust Layer. This refers to Salesforce’s dedicated set of safety features and guardrails.

Code autocompletion

Agentforce Vibes autocompletes your code so you can build more quickly. By factoring in context and metadata, these suggestions are relevant to your codebase.

Code analysis

By enabling you to scan large codebases, the platform identifies potential bugs, runtime efficiency errors, and security vulnerabilities before they become project bottlenecks. What’s more, the Agentforce Vibes and Salesforce Code Analyzer automatically fixes them.

Code explanation

Users can gain a deeper understanding of their codebase with in-depth explanations on code structure and logic.

Agentforce Vibes is a great platform for Salesforce-native developers looking to accelerate the coding process with in-built enterprise security.

As a coding assistant that sits alongside your existing projects, it is not suitable for coding novices. If you fall into this category, a better option would be Base44, which requires no technical expertise.

Should You Choose Agentforce Vibes or Another Platform?

Salesforce knows what it’s doing. That’s why whenever a new product is released, it bears reading about.

Salesforce devotees already know this, and that’s why Agentforce Vibes will be very popular in those circles. But outside of that, is the platform likely to win any new fans ahead of the likes of Cursor and Claude?

Only time will tell. But what I can say for certain is, like all of Salesforce’s products, Agentforce Vibes is a serious tool that isn’t here to play second fiddle.

Agentforce Vibes has three pricing tiers, Foundations, Flex Credits, and Flat Fee Access.

Foundations – Free (requires Salesforce subscription)

If you already have access to Salesforce, you can get started with Agentforce Vibes for free. This gives you access to the platform, as well as 200,000 Flex credits, which can be redeemed for actions.

Flex Credits – $500 per 100,000 credits

In addition to everything on the previous plan, you’ll also get access to a digital wallet, and dedicated customer and employee-facing agents.

Flat fee access – $125 per month

The final plan is geared towards frequent users. While expensive, the predictable pricing model is well-suited towards users who intend to use Agentforce for multiple projects in a pipeline.

However, Agentforce Vibes is switching towards a paid pricing model from June 1st 2026.

Free access for non-Developer Edition organizations is ending. In its place, either Flex Credits users or users with Unmetered Platform Developer and Admin AI User permission set licenses (PSL) are required for continued access.

Compared with other vibe coding platforms, Agentforce Vibes is quite difficult to use. While the platform has similar text-to-code functionality to Base44 or Lovable, it does require basic technical proficiency in order to get the most out of it.

For users with a background in software development, Agentforce Vibes is comparable to similar platforms such as Cursor.

Agentforce Vibes is not the only vibe coding platform on the market. In fact, depending on your business case, there are several options worth exploring.

For instance, Cursor is another integrated development environment (IDE) that similarly enables skilled developers to run, test, and deploy new apps. Cursor is solely desktop-based, meaning that its performance can be more reliable than cloud-based platforms.

At the other end of the spectrum, Base44 is a vibe coding platform built for users with no coding experience. I’ve tested the platform out myself and can confirm that it is very easy to use, with one-click deployment, a chatbot-style interface, and the ability to publish apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Another option is Bolt.new, which enables users to build apps with a degree of technical expertise required. There’s also Lovable, a great solution for full-stack developers, as it combines the freedom to write your own code with a powerful AI generator.

Understanding the pros and cons of vibe coding platforms is one thing, but it’s also important to know exactly what should go into the decision. After all, one platform may offer more features, but if they don’t provide the ones that your particular business needs, you’ll be out of luck.

That’s why we’ve provided a few helpful tips on what you should consider before picking your platform.

  • Coding proficiency: Some platforms truly require no coding knowledge whatsoever, while others operate as assistants to improve your coding, so you’ll want to decide which is a better fit for your business.
  • Business size: Scalability is built into some platforms, while others are geared exclusively towards smaller businesses in both price and functionality. Make sure to consider where you are now and where you want to end up.
  • Budget: Despite most of them having a free plan and a $20-$30 starting plan, the price of vibe coding platforms varies substantially due to the different credit/token allotments for each.
  • Device storage: Some platforms are browser-based, but others require you to download an app. This can be demanding on the performance and storage of your device, although it does often provide better results.
  • Integrations: Various third-party integrations are available with different vibe coding platforms, so make sure your systems work with the particular option you’re looking for.

More importantly, you should make sure that vibe coding is what you’re looking for in the first place. There is a wide range of different AI tools for different purposes.

No, Agentforce Vibes is not free for all users. Salesforce Developer Edition subscribers can access a free Agentforce Vibes tier, but that is set to be discontinued on June 1st 2026.

It depends on your business case. Cursor is better for general use, but Agentforce Vibes is better for Salesforce-natives.

Yes, Agentforce Vibes supports GitHub and Figma via integration with Salesforce DX Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server.

Yes, you own the code built in or generated by Agentforce Vibes, as it is based on your existing metadata.
