The best workwear is built for pure utility, even in the face of extreme conditions and daily physical labor. These clothes foster a culture of safety and durability — one that is mirrored by the 2027 Ford Super Duty, a vehicle engineered specifically for rugged commercial performance.

For the first time, thanks to a 2026 collaboration between Ford and renowned workwear brand Carhartt, tradespeople can purchase a truck that draws inspiration from workwear for its unique seating fabric, and triple-stitched door trim, while towing up to 40,000 lbs with a 500 horsepower engine.

The 2027 Ford Super Duty Carhartt package embraces workwear culture like never before.

Workware refers to clothing designed and used for a wide range of occupational environments, typically involving manual labor. These clothes stand out for their focus on safety, reliability, and durability.

The range of clothes that fit this definition can be broad: Chore jackets, cargo pants, or leather boots with reinforced stitching are all common forms of workwear. In fact, anything made from denim can be considered workwear, since the durable textile has a long history of supporting dirty work as coveralls or jeans.

Denim jeans and boots aren’t only used by tradespeople, however. Today, workwear has expanded beyond occupations to become a culture of its own – one defined by the same values and brands that workwear emerged from. That’s where Ford and Carhartt come in.

The family-owned American clothing company Carhartt has been crafting the best workwear and outdoor gear since its founding in 1889. Automotive manufacturer Ford Motor Company has built best-in-class trucks since 1903.

Together, the two Michigan-based brands embody a heavy-duty, functionality-first approach to work and life. And this year, they’re teaming up to assemble a collaboration aimed at tradespeople and small business owners everywhere.

Here’s what to know about the 2027 Ford Super Duty Carhartt, available in fall 2026.

Workers demand a vehicle that can back up their values just as well as it can back flatbed trailer up a hill.

Why does the Ford Super Duty truck stand out as the best vehicle for off-roading industries like construction, pipeline and energy, or a wide range of industrial services? In short: High towing capacity, great horsepower, and five drive modes.

  • Off-road packages: The Ford Super Duty’s packages are more customizable than ever with their new 2027 series.
  • Diesel towing capacity of 40,000 lbs: This maximum available capacity is available with the High-Capacity Gooseneck Tow Package. The truck’s towing capacity is further boosted with smart towing assist technology.
  • Maximum 1,200 lb-ft of diesel torque
  • Maximum available 500 horsepower
  • Two 10-speed automatic transmission engines
  • 5 standard drive modes

From agriculture and landscaping, to forestry or oil and gas, many industries require a vehicle that can haul a load over any type of terrain during any type of weather. They have one in the Ford Super Duty, the powerhouse at the center of the F-Series, which has stood as the bestselling truck in the US across 49 consecutive years.

That horsepower under the Super Duty’s hood might be the core of its value, but any workers in the market for a 2027 model will need the best in telematics and artificial intelligence to maintain an edge in their industry.

The Super Duty, and the Ford Pro line in general, has plenty of service packages and built-in sofware benefits to keep your operation’s fleet in business and on the road.

Ford Pro AI

The Ford Pro AI is an intelligent fleet assistant that debuted early in 2026. Like other fleet AI tools, it gives fleet operators and managers a quick and simple way to check up on common needs, from insights on vehicle health or the latest safety data to location and utilization histories.

The assistent functions from within the telematics dashboard, benefiting from its access to the proprietary data collected by Ford’s systems.

Ford Pro telematics

Ford Pro Telematics is available on Super Duties through an embedded modem. These telematics give managers a birds-eye view of their fleet and its needs, including:

  • Maintenance reports
  • Vehicle location
  • Fuel efficiency
  • Repair diagnostics
  • Poor driver behavior tracking

While many fleet managers (27.8%, according to a 2026 Tech.co survey) rely on just scheduled servicing to maintain their vehicle health, far more managers (53.1%) will combine routine servicing with predictive telematics. The Super Duty’s built-in telematics support will help them with both.

Ford Pro Services

Commercial customers can opt for additional service packages to ensure they can maintain fleet uptime even when the (ultimately inevitable) vehicle breakdown occurs. Ford’s service centers will spring into action when needed, and will directly meet Ford Pro Mobile Service customers where they are, even after hours.

Plus, Ford Pro FinSimple offers flexible commercial financing or leasing, available for a business of any size.

Carhartt and Ford know the secret to building company loyalty: Deliver best-in-class durability and safety on a consistent basis. That reliable grit and stamina is what workwear culture is all about.

If you’re looking to refresh your fleet with the best-looking and highest-performing trucks around, take a moment to shake the road salt off your boots and go shop Ford Super Duty.

Whatever your needs, you’ll find the right 2027 Ford Super Duty Carhartt package for you, this fall.

The Ford Super Duty series includes the F-250 XL, F-250 XLT, F-250 Lariat, F-250 King Ranch, and F-250 Platinum. You can compare these models online on the Ford website.

Yes, the 4×4 is available across the F-250 trims, as well as F-350 and F-450.

All Super Duties support four modes: Normal, Eco, Slippery Roads, and Tow/Haul. Rock Crawl mode is bundled with off-road packages.
